Hawick based Strawberry Lemonade Events have been nominated at “The Great British Entrepreneur Awards” in the “Purpose Entrepreneur of the Year” category.
Strawberry Lemonade Events, whom have worked with clients including Prince Harry and John Bishop have been operating from the Borders since 2020 and while are a corporate events agency on the surface, are actually a social enterprise behind the scenes.
The team at Strawberry Lemonade Events train, recruit and mentor people facing social exclusion issues such as homelessness and mental health challenges, supporting them into employment in the events industry.
Sían Downes, CEO and Founder said on the nomination, “We are totally taken aback with this nod. It really feels like it came out of the blue and we are so proud to be representing the Scottish Borders nationally. There is so much great social impact work done down here and we are proud to shine a little light on it.

The glittering ceremony will take place in London in November.
